It is 1992 and Lithuania has shifted from communism to capitalism, leaving the small collective pig farm managed by Irena, in dire straits. About Eglė
Eglė Eutropija Mikulionytė is a Lithuanian actress and film director born in 1965. Following her graduation from Music School of Juozas Naujalis she left to Syktyvkar where she was dancing in Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Komi Republic. In 1987-1991 she was studying in Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. In 2008 she founded a theatre “Jaja”. She has created more than 20 outstanding roles in Vilnius and Kaunas theatres and won two awards of St. Christopher as well as Golden Cross of the Stage. She is currently starring in films, theatre and working as a lecturer.
About Vyto
Vyto Ruginis was born in 1956 in England, in the Lithuanian Samogitians family, which had left the homeland during the war. In 1960‘s the family of Ruginiai moved to the USA, Chicago. He has created many outstanding roles in films, where he was starring with Brad Pitt, Al Pacino, Keanu Reeves: “The Devil’s Advocate”, “The Fast and the Furious”, “Moneyball”, and many more. Vyto is recognizable from the cult American TV series such as “ER”, “The X Files”, “Law & Order”, “CSI: Miami”, “House M.D.” and so on. In 2015 V. Ruginis was honored in National Lithuanian American Hall of Fame.
About Andrius
Andrius Bialobžeskis is Lithuanian Theatre, Film and TV actor born in 1967. In 1992 he graduated from Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and from 1997 he has been acting in National Youth Theatre. He has created well-known roles in such films as “Back to Your Arms”, “You am I”, as well as TV series “Uninvited Love”, “Doome”, “Residents” etc. He has received “Silver Crane” award for the best leading role in “Back to Your Arms” and Golden Cross of the Stage.
About Daniel
One of the most famous and most experienced Polish Film and Theatre actors, Daniel Olbrychski, was born in 1945. During successful career this award-winning actor has developed over 150 roles, including leading roles in Andrzej Wajda’s films, such as: “The Birch Wood”, “Pan Tadeusz”, “Ashes”, “The Maids of Wilko”, “The Promised Land”. He also worked with other well-known film directors, to name a few: Krzysztof Zanussi, Jerzy Hoffman, Krzysztof Kieślowski, Kazimierz Kutz, etc. He has also starred in international French, German, Italian and American productions, amongst them – “Salt”, in which he starred with Angelina Jolie.
Apie Valerijus
Valerijus Jevsejevas was born in 1956 in the district of Klaipėda. In 1981 he graduated from Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, acting course, and the same year he was admitted by Drama Theatre of Juozas Miltinis ir Panevėžys. He has created roles in Lithuanian films “The Collector”, “Book Smuggler”, “Redirected” and “The Gambler”.
About Vera
Vera Stasenia was born in 1973. In 1995 she graduated from Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, and since 1993 she has been working in Russian Drama Theatre of Lithuania, where she has created 32 major roles. Vera was also starring in Lithuanian film “Letters to Sofia”.
About Valentinas
Valentinas Krulikovskis was born in 1982. In 2004 he graduated from Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and since 2005 has been working in Russian Drama Theatre of Lithuania. In 2014 he was nominated for Golden Cross of the Stage for his roles in plays “The Gronholm Method” and “Jun and Sofus, or The Golden Knight“. Valentinas has also created roles in such feature films as “Tanssiberian”, “Restricted Sensation”, “The Deportee”, “Letters to Sofia”, “Between Us, Boys” and in a few short films. In 2017, Valentinas received “Silver Crane” award for best supporting role in “The Saint”.

Jelena Kirejeva was born in 1973. In 1997 she graduated from Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and started to work in Russian Drama Theatre of Lithuania, where she has created 23 major roles.
About Sonata
Sonata Visockaitė was born in 1972. In 1997 she graduated from Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, acting course, and later acquired a Master’s degree of drama acting. Currently Sonata is a Lithuanian theatre, television, film and radio actress, a lecturer at Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences, and a founder, manager and director of the University theatre group “3D”. Sonata has starred in more than 18 movies including “Tanssiberian”, “Zero 2”, “Redirected”, “Non-Present Time”, etc.
About Gabija
Lithuanian film, theatre and television actress and translator Gabija Jaraminaitė was born in 1972. In 1994 she graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She starred in several Lithuanian theatre plays and is very well known for the roles created in films (“The Collector”, “Loss”, “Vanishing Waves”, “Single Valentine” “Together For Ever” and others) and television (“Happiness of Women” “The summer of Naisiai” and others). Gabija was nominated 3 times for the award of “Silver Crane”, and in 2013 won the award for the best supporting role. In 2017, she won “Silver Crane” award for the main role in “Together For Ever”.
About Joana
Joana Čižauskaitė was born in 1972. During 1990-1993 she was studying events directing in Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, in 1997 she graduated from Vilnius University and got a specialty of actor-philologist. In 2004 Joana acquired acting Master’s degree. Since 1997 she is acting in the theatre of “Keistuoliai”. She has created many roles in feature films (“Goodhearted Ana”, “The Fortress of Sleeping Butterflies”, etc.), hosted TV shows.
About Kamilė
In 2016 Kamilė Petruškevičiūtė graduated from Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She starred in a popular Lithuanian film “The Summer of Sangaile“.
About Marius
Marijus Bernotas (nickname – Marukas) is a lead singer, guitarist and keyboardist in a Lithuanian music group “Sportas“, which was formed in 2001. The group released such famous songs as “Ūdra” and “Beibi”.
About Laimutis
Laimutis Sėdžius was born in 1962. He is a Lithuanian theatre and film actor, political and public figure in Municipality of Panevėžys. In 1984 he graduated from Lithuanian USSR State Conservatory and acquired specialty in acting. Then he started working in Panevėžys Drama Theatre of Juozas Miltinis and in 2010 he became the head of the theatre. He has created more than 60 roles in theatre, starred in a few Lithuanian (“Farewell”, “Zero 2”, etc.) and foreign films.
About Anžela
In 1997 Anžela Bizunovič graduated from Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She started acting in Russian Drama Theatre of Lithuania while she was still studying. She is an actor in this theatre troupe since 2003 and during this period she has created 32 important roles including Anna Karenina. Anžela also starred in films “The Deportee” (Lithuania) and “Hero” (Russia).
Screenwriter, director
Eglė Vertelytė has a bachelor‘s degree in History after finishing Vilnius University and has studied Art Studies at Vytautas Magnus University. She continued her studies in European Film College, where she has made her first short films. In Lithuania, she has been working on National Television‘s show about cinema “25th frame” as a director and collaborated with “Studio Nominum” on documentaries. 2009 – 2010 she spent in Mongolia, where she made an internationally recognized documentary “Ub lama”. In 2012 she finished National Film and Television school and gained MA in screenwriting and script consulting. Together with her colleague creative producer Lukas Trimonis they have opened a company iN SCRiPT. Eglė has taught in several Lithuanian universities and collaborates as a screenwriter with young directors. Egle has worked as a sketch writer for a popular prime time parody TV show Repeat in Lithuania, and is currently writing the most popular Lithuanian TV show for kids “Ką pasakė Kakė Makė”.
Director of photography
Emil Christov completed his secondary education at the College of Photography, and went on to study Cinematography at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia. From 1982 till 1990 he was head of cinematographers’ unit at Vreme Film Studio. He has more than 50 documentary and 20 feature films, one hundred TV commercials and more than 20 music videos to his credit as cinematographer during over 30 years of experience. He has been the director of photography of the following award-winning films: “I, the Countess”, “Full Moon Late”, “Tuvalu”, “Zift”, “The World is Big and Salvation Lurks Around the Corner”. “The Color of the Chameleon” is his directorial debut.
Editor
Milenia Fiedler, one of the best Polish editors, finished editing studies in Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, later she acquired Film habilitate doctorate degree. Milenia worked with Andrzej Wajda, Mariusz Treliński, Witold Adamek, Piotr Weresniak, Bodo Kox, Urszula Antoniak. She worked as an editor in more than 30 films (“Weiser”, “The Egoists”, “Katyn”, “The Girl from the Wardrobe”, etc.), dozens of performances for TV productions, documentaries, TV series. She teaches editing at the Lodz Film School and co-operates with Wajda Film School and Gdynia Film School. She is a member of Polish and European film academies, and the founder and vice president of the Polish editors union. Milenia was nominated three times for the Polish Film Awards and won “Golden Eagle” award for the editing of the film Weiser. She was awarded twice at the Polish Film Festival.
Composer
Krzysztof A. Janczak is one of the most remarkable composers of young generation in Poland. Since his debut in 2003, he created a music for over 40 movies, dozens of orchestral, chamber and piano pieces, that have been performed all over the world, and the music for TV channels such as: Disney Channel, 13th Street, Kabel Deutschland, NBC Universal, etc. After graduating in Musicology at Warsaw University, he received the diplomas Conservatory. In 2007, after composing the Warsaw Uprising Symphony, he was honored with The Silver Cross of composition and orchestration in École Normale de Musique de Paris and Maurice Ravel of Merit. Krzysztof is a laureate of over a dozen international composer and film music competitions among others: Eyes & Ears of Europe in Munich, Red Dot in Berlin, New York Festivals, European Talent and Universal Music Award in Cologne, and Transatlantyk Young Composer Award in Poznan.
Production designer
From 2002 Ramūnas Rastauskas has worked on over 40 feature and documentary productions in Lithuania and abroad. Amongst his most notable works are: BBC‘s “War and Peace”, “Seneka‘s Day”, “The Gambler”, “The Fortress of Sleeping Butterflies”, and etc. In 2015 Ramūnas Rastauskas was awarded with Lithuanian Film and TV “Silver Crane” Award for best art direction for an internationally recognized film “The Summer of Sangaile”.
Producer
Since 2007 Lukas worked in audio-visual industries and built a career to become an independent film and TV producer. Besides graduating from the National Film and Television School in UK he completed a range of specialized courses related to project development and film production. Ever since he participated in over 50 productions and distribution of numerous types of projects. Since 2013 he’s an MD at the production company iN SCRiPT in Lithuania where he stands behind production of several noteworthy projects. “Waiting for Invasion” – a documentary film by Neringa Medutyte, produced by Rogan Productions in the UK and in partnership with Al Jazeera Network, and a feature film “Miracle” written and directed by Egle Vertelyte in co-production with Bulgaria and Poland with the support from Creative Europe, Eurimages, Women in Film Finishing Fund and Lithuanian and Bulgarian film centers – both projects have secured wide release nationally and internationally.
Co-producer
Pavlina Jeleva is a Bulgarian film producer. Having been the National representative on the board of Eurimages and foreign relations manager at the Bulgarian National Film Center since 1995 she owns and manages Geopoly Ltd. Geopoly has produced over ten feature films, most of them co-productions, supported by Eurimages and nearly 50 feature length documentaries and animated films. Pavlina’s films have screened at many international film festivals in addition to winning prestigious national and international awards. Geopoly’s documentary series “Etno” was awarded with the most important national prize for the contribution to the preservation of the national tradition in Bulgaria.
Co-producer
Magdalena‘s Zimecka‘s career began in 1995, working in radio RMF/FM. Then Magdalena went to OTO Film Studio, where she worked until 1999. In January 2000, with Bartosz Putkiewicz she established sound studio Cafe Ole – achieving many artistic successes and production awards. Magdalena Zimecka has created a colorful and extraordinary company ORKA Postproduction Studio, full of talented and passionate people. In 2013, on behalf of ORKA Magdalena Zimecka received the Silver Lion and the Golden Eagle as a co-producer of the film “Obława” by Marcin Kryształowicz. ORKA was awarded for the special effects in the film “The Girl in the Closet” by Bodo Kox at the Special Effects Festival – Bluebox in Olsztyn. Studio has participated in many feature and documentary film productions as a coproducer. In 2016, she produced 2 feature films: “Miracle” by Eagle Vertelyte and “Ach, śpij kochanie” by Krzysztof Lang.
Co-producer
Radosława Bardes graduated from University of Nicholas Copernicus with a degree in Social Science and Journalism, Postgraduate course at TV and Film Production Department at Warsaw Film School, and Creative Producer’s Program at Wajda’s Film School. She was a participant of MAIA Producers Network, MidPoint, MFI. Radka has extensive experience as production manager, head of development of television series, feature films as well as creating product placement scenes for one of the biggest production companies in Poland. She has worked on films such as “Wałęsa” by Andrzej Wajda, “Fawns” and over 100 episodes of such TV series as “Recipe of Life”, “Times of Honor”, “Residency” and many others in the developmental stage. For 2 years she was managing sound postproduction Studio Café Ole, where she managed the sound postproduction of the films: “Walser”, “Słaba Płeć”, “Ikona”, “Łowcy Miodu” and many others. In 2014, Radka became a producer and head of international productions department in ORKA.
Art director
Irena Muratova is one of Bulgaria’s most experienced and talented Bulgarian production designers. She graduated from the Russian State University of Cinematography in 1984 and has been working at the state owned Boyana Films Studios (Kinozenter Boyana) till 1991. After the political changes in the country she became a freelancer and participated in some of the most valuable Bulgarian films like Krassimir Kroumov’s “The Silence” (1991) and “The Forbidden Fruit” (1994), Eduard Zahariev’s “Late Full Moon” (1996), Zahari Paunov’s “Ombre” (2014) and Zornitsa Sophia’s “Voevoda” (2017). Muratova has been invited as art director to several foreign films shot in Bulgaria as Patrick Hughes’s “The Expandables 3” (2014) and many others.
Costume design
Monika Vėbraitė was born in 1983, in Vilnius. In 2008 she graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts and got a degree in scenography. Since 2008 Monika has been creating scenography and costumes for the theatre performances, costumes for the films, music videos and commercials.
Hair & Makeup
While studying Stage directing and acting studies in Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre Aušra realized to what great extent the effectiveness of a character depends on the artistry and skill of a good theatrical makeup department, so she applied to Giedre Fledzinskiene’s Art College to study theatrical makeup. Already on her second year she was employed as a makeup artist in Lithuanian Film Studio. Then she was given a chance to improve her skills and earn certification in Elegance International School of Professional Make-up in Los Angeles. Upon returning back to Lithuania in 2005, she successfully continued working on European and American film productions, Lithuanian commercials, TV shows, various fashion events, magazines, etc.
Casting director
Dalia Survilaite was born in 1978 and lives in Vilnius. In 1996-2001 she was studying Lithuanian philology in Vilnius University. In 2002 she was studying TV directing in Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. Since 2005 she has been working with Lithuanian and foreign films as a director of casting. She run castings for Lithuanian projects “Vortex” (2009), “The Summer of Sangaile” (2015). Also she worked with foreign projects as “Defiance” (E. Zwick, 2008) and BBC TV project “War & Peace” (T. Harper, 2015).
